So Starting last year, I made a point to read a bunch of Mindless (but cute) Christmas Stories through out December every year. So of course, I totally stalk Amazon for free books on my Kindle for this purpose because some of my favorite Holiday books are Indies on my Kindle. I have been seeing Bah, Humbug! on Amazon under Free books for months so I finally got it and decided to read it.

Now I will be honest, I wasn't expecting much from this Novella because it just sounded like it could be a really cheesy story but I actually really enjoyed it. The plot was adorable and so were the characters. Plus it was a super fast read that I knocked out in a little over an hour. The problems I had were: No drama..I felt like everything went too smoothly and I wish it was longer because I feel that it could have made an amazing full length story. But for free, I can't complain.

Bloodworth is a loved Member of Reddit.com and he posts amazing stories on Nosleep. He was giving away this book and another one for free on Amazon for the Kindle. So I grabbed this one because I love his horror stories.

I thought Bedtime Stories for the Damned was pretty good and a really fast read. The only thing is, I did expect more from Bloodworth then what I actually got. Then again, short story collections are usually filled with hits and misses so I can't really explain because most of them were hits. The thing that bugged me the most though was the free Excerpt was totally blank so a good chuck of the book was nothing.

Overall, I recommend this book if you love horror and indie books. It was a nice combo of both. If you want to read somethings by Bloodworth, you can go HERE.

I've heard such amazing things about The Help and when I received it as a gift on my Kindle, I was so excited to read it.

The Help follows the stories of three woman that are totally different from one another but all want the same thing, change. As I was reading it, I was amazed by how beautiful the writing was and how strong the characters were. I totally felt myself in the middle of the story watching all the women's lives play out. For a book written not that long ago, I fully believe that this will become the next To Kill a Mockingbird. It was just that powerful and I can't wait to see the movie.

Cold Kiss was a book that I've been wanting to read for a while now and once I saw that it was on the Kindle for $1.99, I had to grab it! It took me under a day to read and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was very fast paced, good characters and very heart-warming. Now while the plot might not be 100% original, I did think it was one of the better books with these kind of plot. I had almost no problems with it at all. If this sounds like something you'd like to read, give it a try. Again, it's a very fast read and highly enjoyable.

2012 E-book Challenge

The 2012 E-book Challenge is held by Workaday Reads! The E-book Challenge is just like it sounds. It is a Challenge where you read a certain number of e-books in 2012 and you are able to comment with your reviews monthly on her blog. Each review will get you an entry into a give-away that is being held every month. The amount of e-books you decide to read a year is totally up to you. There are 7 levels:
